The Right Habits For A Healthy & Glowing Skin

Your lifestyle, daily habits, health choices and diet choices have a direct impact on your appearance as well as your mood. No wonder that good health choices will lead to good skin and hair.  You are what you eat, drink, exercise, sleep, etc. For eg, a person with stress-related hair loss, brittle nails, the majority of the time the root cause is lifestyle and health habits. Remember one thing for having a healthy skincare routine, commitment and sticking to the routine is the first step.

Here are some of the health habits and tips to keep in mind for healthy skin.

Hydrate –  Start your day with a glass of lukewarm water. You can also add lemon and a spoon of honey into it. Staying hydrated the whole day can lead to better and health skin. Generally, it is recommended to have at least 8 glasses of water a day. To flush out the toxins of the body, having sufficient water intake is important.

Sleep Schedule – A disturbed sleep schedule can wreak havoc on your health and the signs will show on your skin. Poor quality sleep can lead to increased signs of dark circles, outbreaks of acne, dull skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. Around 8 hours of sleep is recommended to have but always listen to yourself and your body. If you will try to cut out the sleep your body needs, it will immediately show up on your skin. Get your beauty sleep prioritized if you really want to have healthy and glowing skin. 

Exercise – Exercising and working out everyday can give you younger-looking, clear and better skin. When it comes to the benefits of exercise for good-looking healthy skin, the benefits are numerous. Regular workout increases the blood flow to the skin, buffers the effects of stress, aging and reports better sleep.

Moisturize – One of the quickest ways to have a glowing skin is to moisturize. With regular moisturizing, you can reduce skin problems and extreme dryness. Make sure you are using the right kind of moisturizer to maintain the skin balance. Also, while going to bed no matter how tired and sleepy you are, take off your time to remove makeup and wash your face. 

Eat Right- As rightly said, you are what you eat. A healthy and balanced diet is important to have good skin and hair. The healthier diet you will consume, the better your skin will look. Have more leafy green vegetables, vitamin C rich fruits, fatty foods (good fat) like walnuts, soy, avocados, coconut etc.. To keep your skin strong and healthy you need to avoid eating junk, oily and spicy food on a daily basis.
